Comments from military folks I know (vets and current military) are not happy with this. Veterans groups (VFW, American Legion etc) have also been staunch supporters of the military, the mission, and the President. They have the right to be represented by the President's statement. Unlike the Dems, the President didn't have to grab a minority who support his stance and try to portray them as the majority. Those standing by him represent the majority sentiment and have the right to be there. Nevertheless, we probably agree that the politics played by most Democrats and some Republicans during war time is disgusting. The majority of the military supports their mission.
